I am completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Carleton University in Ottawa.  My major is Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations.  I am also minoring in History.

I'm currently taking a break to spend time with my 9 month-old daughter and I try to continue contributing to my blog, Renegade Tory as often as I can. http://www.renegadetory.com

I have worked as a Public Affairs Officer for Patrick Brazeau when he was Chief at the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, worked as an intern for Cabinet Minister Jim Prentice when he was Minister for Indian Affairs and Northern Development and began her political experience working as an administrative assistant in the constituency office of Joy Smith; Member of Parliament for Kildonan-St. Paul.  

I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba where I studied theatre and arts.  My political involvement included being president for the riding of Rossmere and was asked to run as a candidate in the 2007 provincial election for the PC Manitoba party, which I declined in order to move to Ottawa and complete my post-secondary education.

I enjoy reading, writing, drawing and painting in my spare time.  I've done pencil portraits for people such as Chantal Kreviazuk and also Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
